Case study
This project focused on the continuous development and optimization of a commercial vehicle manufacturer’s public website over a two-year period. My role was primarily frontend-focused, but involved close collaboration with backend developers and content managers.
One of the early tasks involved rebuilding the global navigation structure and improving its responsiveness while keeping it CMS-compatible. The templates were a mix of Mustache, HTML and JQuery, and integrated into the FirstSpirit CMS, which required careful coordination to ensure design and functionality were preserved.
To improve long-term maintainability and performance, I introduced Lighthouse-based audits. This led to measurable improvements in SEO scores, page load times, and accessibility compliance.
The client retained our team for ongoing support, during which I helped test and roll out minor A/B experiments to evaluate layout changes and feature engagement.
The project was a strong example of cross-functional teamwork. We worked closely with the backend team to keep the frontend and CMS templates in sync, ensuring a seamless authoring experience for editors and a consistent experience for users.
